My Design Workbench

A Proud Ozzy's Mom!

My brain has been so worked up these past few days after working one order after another. I have colors twirling in my mind almost all the time. Pink? Light green? Cream? Light blue? Scrapbook header? Two columns? Three columns?

But nonetheless, I’m just so glad all of them had been so patient and told me not rush anything. So THANK YOU so much ladies!

One of the most patient ladies is Vannie of Ozzy’s Mom. After a week of working the design around, I have finally got it together according to her preference.

Please, head over there and take a peek. Here's what the old one look like...

Here's what I made just recently for Eds.

HUGE GRAPHICS SALE!

Prim Country Graphics by Trina Clark and Friends is one of my favorite online graphics store. I used them in most of my designing hobby.

Just recently, Trina, the designer is having a huge sale on her website. This will go on until the end of the month. This huge sale she’s doing is to help her save her home she lived for 17 years. She’s not asking for a bailout on her problems folks, just a little assistance from us.

Please visit her website. Just a $2- purchase can make a big difference to her. I think our morning coffee is more expensive than that don’t you think? So let’s help her out.

To those of you who are interested in buying cute and beautiful graphics, now is the best time to buy. Graphics are discounted up to 80% off of the original price. It’s pennies on the dollar!

So take advantage of this huge sale now!

And Domestic Goddess She Is!

I have Crista's website done last weekend despite all the designing craziness I got myself into lately. She's an army wife and say what she thinks! I applaud her for that. So to kind of take the army theme going, I combined red white and blue colors but not as much as over doing the entire website with flags and all. I wanted it to be clean and tasteful at the same time.

Here's the old look...

And the new do!

So go ahead, pay her a visit and don't forget to leave a comment or two.

Have a great weekend ahead everyone.

So, You Thought of Designing Eh?

If you are curious on where I get my inspirations... well EVERYWHERE! From books, television, when I'm driving... like I said everywhere! And the internet holds a lot of inspirations and ideas.

I take an inspiration then I play it around and make it my own. Remember, copyrights! And you really want your creations to be unique.

Here, let me share few of my principles...

1. I like to group things at a certain place or spot.
2. Less is more. Don’t over do the design. It’ll end up crowded and dirty. The cleaner it looks the better. Think about this, when you are wearing a stripe skirt you would not want to wear polka dot shirt would you?
3. Find harmony in colors. Don’t let them clash. If one’s too dark, tone down the other. But don’t play it too safe. Too light sometimes can be boring. So work the colors around.
4. Use elements. It can be flowers, shapes or letters but remember rule #2.
5. Last but not least, it’s all about your preference. Whatever it is that makes you happy is still the best result. Don’t let anybody tell you this and that and you’ll end up miserable and unhappy. So follow your heart.
6. And stop saying you can’t because YOU CAN DO IT!

There you go! Hope I inspired you in creating your own.

Indeed a.... SIMPLE DELIGHTS!

How did your Halloween night go? We had an awesome time taking MS to the neighborhood. It was her first real trick or treat. She was a Pumpkin Princess. She had a wonderful time. Gigglin' and smiling and dragged me and hubby around the neighborhood.

Here's another design I made for Maicel of Simple Delights. She wanted to have a Mommy holding a baby but at the same time still make her website look really girly and fun. And here's what I came up with:
